The American people are the most charitable on earth. While Congress was dragging its feet the last two months, hard-working Americans were trying to donate goods to @CBP to help care for the children + the staggering 144,000 migrants crossing our southern border. They couldn't.
Today, I dropped a law to fix it. Washington shouldn't be getting in the way of the American people's kindness and generosity. It is in our blood.

Now we can calculate the cost over the past 30 years. It's one thing if this would be a one time event. But it never ends. This is a violation of the social compact.
