It's a conflict between principle (members should vote on bills) and pragmatism (the disaster relief is needed). I respect both Representatives. The aid will come, but will be delayed a couple of weeks.

It's a good thought to give all members a chance to vote...but shouldn't members put this as a priority if it actually is to them as opposed to leaving? This is why I hate politics. Aid now waits bc politicians want a vaca. So delay the entire thing and hurt people that need it.

probably everyone figured that since the senate passed it 85-8, and Trump has said he'll sign the bill, it would easily pass a voice vote in the House. Roy is delaying aid to people in need in the midwest for.... what? a headline? this makes me think he's a dunce
