This is awful news on its own. What makes it more troubling is this isn’t a one-off scenario. We know from groups like @amnesty that 1/3 of migrant women making their way to the U.S. are sexually abused.

I’ve personally spoken to migrants that just crossed the border—two teenage boys—that said they knew of or had heard of women being sexually abused on their trek to the United States. Think about that. This is known and we are letting it happen.
