I’m not a mathematician, but I believe @speakerPelosi and @HouseDemocrats gave @realDonaldTrump and @HouseRepublicans only $1.375 billion this Congress to #SecureTheBorder. Why do Democrats want to provide @CBP less money than cartels are making trafficking human beings?!
The truth is Congress is creating a multi-billion $ black market for these cartels to exploit. It is unconscionable. In just over 6 months, @CBP has already apprehended more migrants at the border than they did in all of 2018. The crisis isn’t simply going to go away.
What is the path forward? 1) #SecureTheBorder 2) #FixOurBrokenAsylumLaws 3) End Catch & Release 4) More $ Infrastructure (drones, cameras, technology, roads, etc) 5) More conversation and debate in Congress
