Researchers were put an untenable position—forced to choose between rewriting parts of their papers to suit the administration’s agenda or breaching ethics rules by not disclosing gov’t funding for a study. The federal gov’t should NEVER meddle in science for political purposes.
Facts are facts and science is science, no matter how politically inconvenient that may be. We’ve seen already this year how the President’s denial of science and facts can cost lives.
