Despite its enormous destruction, when the #COVID19 pandemic eventually ends, we will be able to begin recovery and rebuild our economy.
#ClimateChange, on the other hand, is fundamentally changing the risks our financial system will have to face over the decades to come.
.@NGFS_ has begun the important project of understanding those risks.
But right now, America doesn’t even have a seat at the table.
We cannot allow the rest of the world to leave us behind in paving a path forward to address the economic impact of #ClimateChange.
#COVID19 proved the devastating costs of unpreparedness and inaction.
The least we can do is learn from our mistake.
The compute models were vastly, widely inaccurate about Covid-19. They couldn't correctly predict a near term event. But here is Levin betting our futures on the very same type of inaccurate - wrong- models that claim to predict an event 100 year in future.
