I am proud to vote tonight to condemn the President’s attempt to cap and slash Medicaid by block granting funds, a move which his Administration announced last week. #ProtectOurCarehttp://wapo.st/31yS5ip
The Administration’s guidance would allow states to rip away health care coverage from low-income Americans, particularly one’s that gained coverage under #MedicaidExpansion. Make no mistake, this is just the President’s most recent assault in his war on the #AffordableCareAct.
He is attacking #PreExistingConditions protections in court, his @HHSGov has issued countless rulings to undermine the #ACA, which has driven up health insurance costs, and now he is trying to take away health care from people that cannot afford it otherwise.
#MedicaidExpansion has saved at least 19,000 lives since 2014, it is absolutely shameful and inhumane that President Trump values destroying his predecessor’s legacy more than helping Americans access quality, affordable health care.
