Lake Michigan is not only a crucial part of Illinois’ economy; it also brings joy to so many who use it for swimming and boating during the summer months. It is absolutely critical that we clean-up current pollution and ensure its health for years to come.
Last night, I voted for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Act to dedicate $300 Million of funding this year for this important cause. The funding will incrementally increase to $475 Million in five years to clean-up & protect Lake Michigan and all of our #GreatLakes.
