I‘m also deeply saddened that since this tragedy there has been absolutely no action whatsoever to prevent gun violence. I demand @senatemajldr to put H.R. 8 & H.R. 1112 on the Senate floor for a vote in order to protect the American people from avoidable tragedies like this one.

Chicago has the toughest gun laws in the country - what is Chicago and the suburbs (you) doing to reduce violence? Tougher gun laws will not force the criminals to turn in their guns.
