After this awful mass shooting, the worst in this country’s modern history, there was an outcry for gun control to prevent situations like this massacre from ever happening again.

As of today, we do not even have the most commonsense, bipartisan gun control measures like universal background checks, red flag laws, or closing reckless loopholes that allow dangerous people to easily obtain weapons of war.

Tragedies like these happen far too often. I hope my Republican colleagues in Senate will reflect on the anniversary of this terrible shooting & do what is right to both protect the American people & to honor those that died in this terrible incident and the countless like it.
