So then California’s @AirResources, a world leader in addressing the #ClimateCrisis, finds an alternative route working w/ car companies to agree on higher standards, w/ both sides recognizing that what is good for business is good for the climate. A win-win for everyone, right?
Wrong. Instead, Trump attacked California’s authority under the Clean Air Act to pass higher environmental standards for its own citizens! And now that California has sued to stop this executive overreach, @EPAAWheeler has decided to threaten California’s highway construction.
This is thuggery. It undermines important, commonsense climate protections. It will raise the amount Americans have to spend on gas. No one wanted this but here we are. Demand better. Stand with @AirResources. Demand #ClimateActionNow.

So, if CA has the worst air then it WOULD make sense that they continue to work with the Automobile Manufacturers to maintain stricter emissions laws. #logic But 45 and EPA want to punish them for that. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
