But our collective inaction continues as some of my colleagues wait for permission to act. Some wait for permission from the President and others wait for permission from moneyed interests in the fossil industry.
Meanwhile the world is burning and young children are taking to the streets, terrified that their futures are evaporating before their very eyes. The #ClimateCrisis is here. We must take bold and decisive action. We must demand #ClimateActionNow from all our leaders.
And it should start with my Senate Colleagues. So @senatemajldr – it’s time you stop waiting for permission from the deniers & polluters and work with the House to pass measures to reduce emissions, quickly. The future of our planet depends on it.
