Looking back on that terrible morning, we remember the extraordinary selflessness of the first responders who ran, without hesitation, into the Twin Towers and we recall the bravery of our servicemembers who went to war to protect our freedoms.
Eighteen years later, we reflect on those acts of heroism and on the incredible resilience of our fellow Americans comforted by the sure knowledge that no act of terror could forever tarnish our Nation.
We must always honor the legacies of those we lost and provide their loved ones with continued support.
That’s why earlier this year, I was proud to vote to reauthorize the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund so that we can take care of those, who were there for others on that fateful day.
