We participated in a “Stop the Bleed” training put on by the Lisle Police Department, which is designed to help victims survive in the event of an active shooter.
This is the unacceptable reality in which we live. We need to address this ongoing epidemic of gun violence so we don’t have to teach our children to apply tourniquets to gunshot wounds.
In the meantime, we must honor the memory of victims such as Noel by continuing to fight for sensible gun legislation.
