We can respect immigrants’ human rights while maintaining strong border security. That’s why I cosponsored and voted for the Humanitarian Standards for Individuals in CBP Custody Act to guarantee food, water, health care, and sanitary conditions to those in detention.

This admin is refusing to provide flu shots to detainees. There have already been deaths in custody due to the flu. Our government’s behavior is a crime against humanity.
