This bill would for the first time, establish both nation-wide standards & access for these tests. No child should have to die from a screen-able condition because where they live has different standards for these tests.

Over the last 50 years, advancements in medical technology have allowed us to identify & better treat life-threatening conditions at birth. These tests save so many lives each year & that’s why I’m a proud co-sponsor of the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization.
