One of the @HouseScience bills we voted on tonight is the Vera Rubin Survey Telescope Designation Act. This bill dedicates the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope in Vera’s honor because of the field-transforming discoveries she achieved, despite the huge gender barriers she faced.
