Today, @ClimateCrisis held a hearing on vehicle emissions. Reducing emissions from transportation is a critical part of combatting the #ClimateCrisis. To help I introduced H.R. 2025 which permanently provides tax credits for fueling infrastructure for alternative energy vehicles.pic.twitter.com/RpTWqSALqh
These tax credits would cover 30% of the cost, up to $30,000. If we want to move towards the #CleanEnergyEconomy, then we need to incentivize purchasing vehicles that use fuel sources that have far less greenhouse gas emissions like biofuels & electric vehicles.
Got my first hybrid on dec 31. Got a nice tax break, about $6,000 plus a check for $750 from my power company to install a charger (although my charger plugs into a regular outlet) I LOVE my vehicle and highly recommend it to anyone considering buying a hybrid.
