Yesterday in @FSCDems I spoke about the Climate Risk Disclosure Act I introduced with @SenatorWarren and @RepCartwright.
More than 200 of the world’s largest listed companies have forecast that climate change could cost them a combined total of almost $1 trillion, according to a report from the Carbon Disclosure Project.
The bill would require public companies to disclose more information about their exposure to climate-related risks, which will help investors appropriately assess those risks and accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
