Last week, the #TrumpAdministration signed an Executive Order requiring agencies to eliminate one-third of federal advisory boards. The boards potentially targeted by this #ExecutiveOrder included one that handles the Great Lakes.
Many federal agencies rely extensively on the advice of advisory committees, including the @EPA and @Interior, whose advisory committees provide scientific and technical expertise. Read:http://bit.ly/2RAwIZg
Seems like the process is working as intended. Government should make careful choices about what really NEEDS to be funded by taxpayers. We can't fund everything. And for the record, maybe the Great Lakes A.B. should be one of those kept.
