I hope this is true because if this Congress fails, now, to keep the government operating, we will have proven just one thing: an aisle is a stronger barrier than a wall.

Congress passes a bill to fund many dept's of gov't. Trump refuses to sign said bill because it does not fund 1 project in 1 dept. Those gov dept's shut down. Congress refuses to add that funding because, at least, it will encourage future shutdowns. How is it a Dem shutdown?
