If a child is born at full term with a fatal birth defect do we mandate that they forgo palliative care too? Does the government require that a full code response be employed in an impossible case at 9 months?

That doesn’t happen. Catastrophic birth defects due to pre-term delivery, on the exceedingly rare occasions it happens, warrants palliative care. This bill, in no uncertain terms, mandates that the State be the medical proxy of a child rather than a parent.
