Rail is cheaper to build & maintain than roads, safer for moving freight & people, better on the environment, faster for long haul freight transport & did I mention safer? Reduces congestion & can move even in extreme weather. It’s efficient. We need a publicly owned rail system.
I toured @Magnetech_Inc today with @GoRail & @HADCO_WV to see first-hand how their efficient operation ensures our freight rail reaches communities across our state. This process is crucial to connecting our region, increasing business investment, & strengthening our economy.

We like rail too! One of the best parts of America's privately owned freight railroads -- the best in the world -- is that they invest private $$ ($25 billion annually over last several years) so that taxpayers don't have to.
