The bill said that Congress must pass a Balanced Budget each year. It had nothing to do with Social Security. That website is false.
Unfortunately, with the history of deceit from elected officials, especially in the last 18 months, I would need to see the bill to determine what effect it might have on the Social Security system. Where might I find it?

If the so called balanced budget amendment - which @RepByrne voted for - became law it would prevent Social Security from spending its own $2.9 trillion surplus to pay out benefits.

I believe your organization's assessment- I do not trust Rep. Byrne as he has supported, and continues to support Trump( immoral, unethical and a serial liar),and stated he would vote for Roy Moore, the accused sexual predator.
