.@RepByrne ... would you please tell us what you knew/know about the fund used to pay off sexual #harrassment , and other, claims against members of #Congress and their staff? What have you done to expose previous payments?

Thank you sir ... with all due respect this is FAR from a profile in courage and it did not address my question; what did/do you know about this fund? How long have you known it? Other than this prepared statement, what have you done and when?
We are working on legislation to make settlements public and to make Members personally responsible for paying harassment claims. I’m disappointed to say it, but I didn’t know this fund existed until late last year.
