Unmitigated growth isn’t a strategy. We could shrink our forces by 50% and still be very well situated as the worlds superpower. Our ships are running into each other: seems like we should iron some of that out before throwing $$ that we desperately need domestically.
I'm tired of some in Congress who continually use funding for our nation's military as a bargaining chip for other issues. We need to adequately fund our military with no strings attached.

Yeah, except that money goes to CEOs of large corporations. We keep funding wars but never helping those who come back from that war. I encourage you to change your position and realize the military industrial complex is damaging our society.
