@RepByrne So you are saying that we should build unasked for ships just to keep ship yards open That is not fiscally responsible
The Navy has a stated need for 52 Littoral Combat Ships or Small Surface Combatants. That has not changed. The Navy wants these ships.

Absolutely they want them, if they cancel the ships their budget will fall. The ships are overcost, don't have capability promised.
