Two important notes. First, these are solely recommendations to @GovernorKayIvey. She will ultimately make the final decision after consulting with her team and public health officials. I hope our guidance is helpful as she makes the decision.
Second, any reopening of businesses does not mean we can stop distancing measures or stop practicing good hygiene. Also, anyone who is feeling sick MUST remain home and seek medical guidance. These measures will be even more important once we begin the reopening process.
The beaches should be one of the last places to open. It is not essential to go to the beach. It is just anunnecessary recreational activity and attracts people from other states where the virus may be more prevalent than it is here.
The businesses and residents in our coastal community are being severely impacted. Outdoor spaces are actually more conducive to social distancing.
