The period between Memorial Day and Labor Day is critical to our tourism-based businesses along the Gulf Coast. As such, I believe we should reopen our beaches on May 1st while ensuring strict social distancing enforcement.pic.twitter.com/VsgGSN2Cb8

"believe" and "should" are ridiculous words to use in the face of a pandemic. Here are latest stats of coronavirus in Alabama https://covid19.alabama.gov/  Mobile County is a hotspot

I am well aware of the data and used it for formulate my recommendations. Data shows a downward trend in the number of cases both statewide and locally in Southwest Alabama. That doesn’t mean we don’t still have cases, but they are trending downward.pic.twitter.com/pbe9F9a1TO

...how you gonna do that boss? Have police out their with tape measures writing citations? Or would it make more sense from a public health perspective to remain closed? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the latter.

I’ve spoken with our municipal and county leaders, and they are prepared to handle the enforcement on our beaches.

You gonna pull a week of 12 hr shifts in one of UAB's COVID units? Or in Mobile? Be sure to take lots of hydrochloroquine and zpacks. What have you got to lose?

Nope. He’ll help foster the problem then throw his hands in the air and say that there’s nothing that could have been done. He doesn’t have the skill or courage to walk into a hospital and do the job that we do
