The Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 (FOPA) already provides these protections for gun owners traveling with firearms. More needless grandstanding from AL lawmakers.

The states must always be allowed to determine their own gun laws. The federal government must always be the one facilitating interstate travel for all citizens. And....when those 2 collide, the federal government must be the one that prevails. Period. "Peaceable Journey."

It also says the chief executive should be removed for high crimes and misdemeanors. We don’t do that. Why is this particular amendment so sacrosanct? We ignore so many of the others.

The Constitution is clear about 3 co-equal branches of government too but the GOP doesn’t seem to care about “checking” the current lawless POTUS. Save us the speech on how important the Constitution is to you. It’s contents were not designed to be optional.
