This isn’t about freedom of religion. This is pandering. I’m a Christian and this horrifies me.

Actually, the 1st amendment says "freedom from religion," not of* religion. I am not anti-religion. I am pro-1st amendment. You can be both. But I expect my congressperson to know what the Constitution says.
