I staunchly oppose the toll. The toll is a result of yrs of GOP tax cuts for corporations/rich that have left no money for interstate maintenance/construction. Congress will not appropriate $$ for it. This is a perfect example of unintended consequences. #ByrnedOut #ItTakesTax$
In addition to the absurd $6 toll, it seems ALDOT failed to consider what the ridiculously high toll will mean for other area roads like the Causeway. There's been nothing in any studies or survey reports about effects of flooding that occurs frequently on the Causeway, especially during severe weather. Likewise, during Mardi Gras events the Bankhead tunnel closes, removing it as a viable alternative route. Oppose the tolls!
