So does that include any kind of modifications to the port for the three to five feet of sea-level rise in the next hundred years? I believe that's going to have a huge impact on the economy of Mobile and Alabama. Just think that will make the channel deeper too!

No, I think the water level rises will make the channel less deeper because of the silt and sand runoff. I think the Port of Mobile should be deeper. We do not realize how many goods are moved through the port.

I have heard said that the Port of Mobile is easier to maneuver than the Port of New Orleans. I do have concern about the oyster beds and am hopeful our legislators are listening to the seafood industry.
