Because it comes in many different forms. The most common way immigrants lose their legal status is visa expiration. They come here legally, they play by the rules, and their visa runs out while they're waiting for the extension. The backlog is insane.

I just don’t think an expensive wall is what is needed. I would like to see Congress convene a group with expertise and knowledge of what is needed on the southern border. Then Congress can appropriate the funds for what is needed.
