The phones in our office have been busy with the line: hold strong and build the wall. People want us to secure the border and end the shutdown. I could not agree more, and I am dedicated to national security and the safety of the American people. #SecureOurBorder #EndTheShutdownpic.twitter.com/bBT7DaT8Cv

Could you produce some recordings of these phone calls? It's not that I don't trust you but...actually it's exactly that. I don't think you've gotten very many calls on the subject at all.

How many are saying just the opposite? You didnt mention callers who oppose the #TrumpShutdown AND the wall. Share the percentages. Be transparent. Be honest.

The shutdown threatens the safety of Americans: Americans who can't pay for the healthcare they need, for example. As long as the shutdown continues, Americans safety and security continues to be at risk.

A wall will not secure the border @RepByrne. A coherent immigration policy will. I voted for you to govern, not shut the government down.

No sir. Give up this foolish stand and settle this shutdown now. It is hurting all Americans!

The wall will help border patrol keep illegals out, not keep legal aligns from entering. It will help American taxpayers by not having to pay even more money on illegals. We already spend billions a year on illegals! HELP AMERICAN TAXPAYERS & BORDER PATROL, BUILD THE WALL!!!

I called to stop wasting money. Pass budget by Sep 30 deadline every year. Shutdown as a form of blackmail is unethical. Trump needs $20 to $30 billion not $5.7 billion so why the petty shutdown?
