Housing anyone in tents on the Gulf Coast during the heat of summer and the heart of hurricane season would be inhumane and a major mistake. I am committed to working with our local officials to fight back against this misguided idea.

Could you clarify this, do you oppose the detention of asylum seekers or are you simply saying you don’t want them here? Because this tweet sound an awful lot like you just don’t want any more Latin people in your district.
It makes no sense to house anyone in tents along the Gulf Coast in the heat of summer and the heart of hurricane season. That would be inhumane.

Would a better answer be to send them to Lake Michigan for the summer and bring them back down here for the winter? That seems a lovely way to inculcate American culture in them.
