Cut to CHIP? Why would you vote to cut a program that thousands of constituents rely on to keep their children insured? As your constituent I’m asking for an explanation. I’m also spreading the word in my community since people need to know you don’t care about us.
The funding was expired and could be used. According to the CBO, "CBO estimates that rescinding the unobligated balances would reduce budget authority by $7 billion, but would not affect outlays, or the number of individuals with insurance coverage."

What if we have a bad hurricane season or a health crisis and more families need to apply for coverage? This took away the contingency fund that would support enrollment in a crisis. You have endangered children yet again to agree with your party. This is not right.
