Buddy is quoting a notably flawed University of Washington study. Here is a link to a more recent study from UC Berkeley that shows that net earnings among food service industry worker (the focus of the study) increased, and there was no net employment effect (i.e. no jobs lost).

Real wages haven't increased in 30 years. Trickle-down has consistently kept the working classes held down whilst propping up Wall Street handouts and big business bailouts. Either come up with a better plan, or help Georgians make more money.

Your statistics are incorrect. "Today, workers who earn the federal minimum wage make $7.25 an hour (and lower in GA) about 29 % less per hour than their counterparts made 50 years ago (after adjusting for inflation)." 50 YEARS AGO!https://www.epi.org/economists-in-support-of-15-by-2024/ …

Mr. Carter, your city of Savannah has a 24% poverty rate. Why is this? Your plans do not work. Your leadership and that of Mayor DeLoach and City Manager Rob Hernandez has crippled Savannah.https://www.wjcl.com/article/savannahs-poverty-rate-is-higher-than-georgias-nearly-double-the-national-average/28241099 …

Buddy clearly does not support, "Higher wages for hard-working employees." Adjusted for inflation, the federal minimum wage peaked in 1968 at $8.68. Since it was last raised in 2009, to the current $7.25, the federal minimum has lost ~9.6% of its purchasing power to inflation.

It's ok, buddy it won't go into effect until 2026. No need to panic that the House actually did anything to help people.

Though I do not believe that the $15 is panacea that Dems think, I do know that he lies. Seattle has a $15 hr wage min., I don’t think that Amazon would move to where Microsoft is located if is a problem. message is as much a fiction as is his article in Brunswick News today.
