Everyone needs the tools to avoid falling victim to scams. More than three million fraud reports costing consumers $1.48 billion were reported last year. It’s important we continue to work to prevent these crimes and make our community resilient against scammers.
That’s why I held a workshop in Kenosha to help members in our community, especially seniors, learn how to identify, avoid, and report scams. I invited federal and state officials to share tips on topics including like robocalls, telemarketing scams, identity theft, & debt scams.
