Hold up is Senate, which is creating a unitary form of govt. Congress could pass a bill, and even if vetoed by Exec, could overrule veto. Using the National Emergency Act to bypass Congress sets a dangerous precedent. Even if NEA happens, govt could still be closed due to spite.
In the private sector, you never stop working until the job is done. Why isn’t this true in Washington? Disappointed that Speaker Pelosi adjourned the House for the weekend in the midst of a government shutdown. We need to solve this now!

Pelosi passed legislation to reopen the government. Which way did you vote, my congressman? Holding people hostage when you don't have the support is not a way to govern. The wall conversation can continue when government is open. Be better than this.
