With this change, I am deeply concerned by the significant turnover in senior VA leadership in recent years and the negative impact that this has had on the VA’s ability to succeed in its mission to serve veterans.

I am thankful for Dr. Shulkin’s service to our nation’s veterans and the important progress we have been able to make working together over the past few years.

Our veterans deserve a strong and steady hand leading the VA, not the chaos and in-fighting that we have seen in the past year between those who are committed to serving veterans and the ideologues who want to privatize the VA.
