Nine years ago today, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law – making a strong statement that equal pay for equal work is at the cornerstone of American values.

We cannot take even the smallest step backward when it comes to fighting for equality. That is why I support the Paycheck Fairness Act, legislation to ensure better enforcement of laws against wage discrimination.
