Thank you @RepBrownley for supporting HR 4901, a self-determination process for the 3.2 million US citizens who live in Puerto Rico. After Hurricane Maria, Puerto Ricans know that only statehood can provide equal & political rights. HR 4901 is first step to end colonialism in PR.
The right to self-determination lies at the very heart of American democracy, and that is why I support the Puerto Rico Statehood Admission Act. The people of Puerto Rico deserve a chance to exercise this inherent right and have a pathway to statehood. #PR51st
