As Chairwoman of the #WomenVetsTaskForce, I’m calling for the establishment of a #ForeverStamp series that honors our 2 million women veterans. To underscore the importance of the #ForeverStamp Act, I will be highlighting some of the remarkable women who inspired this bill.
Women have served in the U.S. Military since the Revolutionary War. Deborah Sampson dressed as a man in order to serve, was wounded in combat & was among the 1st women whose service was recognized by Congress.
