Recently, I had the privilege to once again attend the annual Ventura County Stand Down, which provides critical services and care to underserved veterans and their families.pic.twitter.com/bIy3wSZg9P
During the two-night, three-day event, veterans have access to hot meals, clothing and shoes, medical services, legal counseling, as well as access to veteran-specific outreach programs. Also, our amazing Seabees provided temporary housing for the event.
I would like to thank all the amazing volunteers - especially Ventura County Stand Down’s Founder Claire Hope - for their tremendous work in ensuring that our veterans get the care and services they have earned and deserve.
