Women veterans are also over-represented in higher education compared to male veterans, and earn degrees at higher levels than non-veteran women. Women veterans are twice as likely to enter #STEM occupations than non-veteran women.

I am Vietnam Era & I enjoyed a significant career in telecommunications after I was discharged from the Army Signal Corps. Or at least until I became disabled out of the workforce. STEM jobs for military women have been around for decades.
