You apparently never took an economics course. A hike to $15 will mean less hours or fewer positions for the existing workers, stricter hiring requirements given the higher cost (hurts teenagers with less experience), and/or higher prices for the finished goods and services.

Please focus on job training to get people out of low wage positions. Raising people's pay through government intervention will have negative consequences on the very people you are trying to help as well as the businesses that hire. Remember, give a man a fish.....
