The Safe Drinking Water Act, which originally became law 44 years ago today, was a major milestone in our nation’s efforts to ensure that all Americans have access to safe, clean drinking water.

That is why I support the Drinking Water Infrastructure for Job Creation Act and federal programs that help communities improve drinking water and sewer systems. In Congress, I will continue to work to ensure everyone has access to clean, safe drinking water.
