I had the pleasure of working with them while I was in the California Assembly to establish the first statewide Biliteracy Seal program that encourages and recognizes high school students who achieve proficiency in English and a second language.

Now, 33 states and the District of Columbia have their own Biliteracy Seal programs. I look forward to continuing to work with them to bring this program to every state by passing the BEST Act, helping kids across the nation be more competitive in today’s global economy.
