The VA funding bill that passed yesterday expands support for our nation’s vets & will help improve VA infrastructure, support the development and rollout of the new VA EHR system & help VA continue to provide high-quality health care services that our vets have earned & deserve.
While I am disappointed that Congress has not agreed to funding for the VA MISSION Act, I am hopeful that we can work across the aisle to address this problem in the coming months because VA should not be forced to take from other veterans programs to pay for outside care.
In Congress, I will continue to work with my colleagues to ensure the VA is adequately funded so that our nation’s veterans have access to the care and support they need.
